The SILENT & LIVE AUCTION will be a fabulous evening at The Cleveland Yachting Club on Thursday July 17th where we will help raise money to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Northern Ohio in their efforts to provide support to patients and their families, offer educational opportunities, and continue to fund new and life changing research in the field of blood cancers.
This is an exciting new direction as the Leukemia Cup Regatta's usual Friday night auction is now THURSDAY, July 17th at 6:30pm, the dress went from shorts to cocktail attire, the food is now being fabulously prepared by the chefs at the CYC, and drinks will be in glasses instead of plastic cups! It may not look the same, but it will still be an exciting and fun night full of friends, live music, great food and exciting bidding. Tickets are $40 each and can be obtained by calling The Cleveland Yachting Club at 440-333-1155. RESERVATIONS NEED TO BE MADE BY MONDAY JULY 14TH AT 5PM. They can be purchased using cash, personal checks, credit card-MC,VISA and Am Ex or by CYC chits. Please join us in our commitment to help eradicate leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's, myeloma and other blood cancers by coming to the Silent & Live Auction as we begin the 15th Annual Leukemia Cup Regatta!
The online Auction will close at 9pm on July 13th, but the bidding will not end! We will continue to bid on these items during the silent auction portion of this event, and there will be more than 50 SURPRISE items added that will not be shown on the online website! The evening will conclude with the fast paced bidding of the LIVE ONLY items on stage at The Cleveland Yachting Club. If you are not able to attend the event, but want to continue bidding on the items donated to the online portion of the auction, you may decide to become an "absentee bidder". You can sign up on the web and list your bid limit. The auction committee will bid for you, up to your limit, and if you win, the item will be shipped to you. Sorry, this does not apply to the LIVE ONLY items.

JULY 17TH, 6:30PM - Cocktails, featuring martinis by Three Olives, Dinner and Auction at The Cleveland Yachting Club, Rocky River, Ohio. Please call the CYC at 440-333-1155 for reservations. RESERVATIONS NEED TO BE MADE BY MONDAY JULY 14TH AT 5PM. Tickets are $40 per person. The tickets can be purchased using cash, personal checks, credit cards-MC,VISA & AmEx or CYC chits. There will be multiple food stations featuring hand carved beef, pastas, baked potato bar and delicious appetizers! Live music and at least 2 free drink tickets will help to make this an evening to remember!
JULY 18TH - There will be in-person Regatta registration for the sailors at CYC. Skipper bags full of information and freebies will be handed out along with the race instructions. Women's Races will go on in the early evening.
JULY 19TH - Multi class sailing races start in the morning with an "After Race Party" around 3pm with hot dogs, fruit, chips, beer, soda, and the famous BLENDER drinks featuring our National Sponsor, Mount Gay Rum, and and rockin' live music. You must have a weekend wristband to participate in the parties on the 19th and the 20th -$10. Wristbands can be purchased at the CYC using cash, personal checks, credit cards-MC,VISA, Am EX, and CYC chits. Special cornhole tournament will again be offered to test your skills and will be a 50/50 split for the winner. There will be a cost to participate.
JULY 20TH - Sailing races in the morning with an "After Race Party" at about 2pm, with pizza, fruit, chips, ice cream for everyone, beer and beverages. There will be family friendly activities, including face painting for the kids, music and the trophy presentations for both the Regatta and fundraising.

Shelly Vail, The Glass Bubble ProjectIt is truly heart warming to see how people and companies have so generously donated such wonderful auction items and given financial support as sponsors for the 15th Leukemia Cup Regatta and Auction. We have added more items to the online catalog and more are coming in all the time! Wonderful SILENT and LIVE auction items include Lake Erie Cruises, new sports tickets from the Browns and Cavs, a personally created dinner by Sweet Melissa's, art, wine, photography and private parties at unique places!
We must however, mention one in particular. VITA-MIX, a long standing local company that makes state of the art blending equipment, has not just donated one machine but FIVE for a value of more than $3500! Two blenders are available for bids on the online auction and then at the silent auction. The Regatta will use three of them to assist with the creations of specialty drinks during the weekend, then will be donated by VITA-MIX to three different people that suffer from some form of blood cancer in the Northern Ohio area. Because chemotherapy and the symptoms of cancer can make nutrition difficult to maintain, these machines can make it easier to absorb the needed foods, to help them regain strength and improve their chances of overcoming these devastating diseases. During the Sunday Awards program, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will accept these machines from VITA-MIX on behalf of the recipients.
